iPhone 12 Pro Max is the first Apple smartphone with 6 GB RAM

Unfortunately, the September presentation of Apple this year was held without the announcement of the new iPhone. Their release is expected a little later. We hope to see the iPhone 12 next month. In the meantime, we suggest discussing a new rumor about the next generation of iPhone, which should brighten up the tedious wait.

The new leak concerns the oldest version of the iPhone 12, called the iPhone 12 Pro Max. It has been tested in the benchmark AnTuTu and highlighted its characteristics, including the amount of RAM and built-in drive. Tested in AnTuTu model is based on the Apple A14 Bionic chipset combined with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. That is, the iPhone 12 Pro Max is the first Apple smartphone with 6 GB of RAM. It is also said that the basic configuration of the smartphone will have 128 GB of memory instead of 64 GB of its predecessor.

Interestingly, although the Apple A14 Bionic is the world’s first 5-nanometer processor, in terms of performance it does not have a big difference compared to the A13 Bionic, which is made by 7-nanometer standards. Moreover, the iPhone 12 Pro Max is inferior to some Android smartphones based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 or 865 Plus. The result of the iPhone 12 Pro Max according to the test AnTuTu was 572 332 points, while the iPhone 11 Pro Max in the same test scored 524 436 points. Thus, the performance gain of the new iPhone compared to its predecessor is only about 9%. And this is quite strange. Perhaps in the benchmarking test was not the final model of the new iPhone, but only its prototype.

But the main thing that should please all Apple fans is the increase in RAM. The iPhone has always had less RAM than the Android flagships and the additional 2 GB of memory really does not hurt, especially when multitasking.
