GoPro made an action camera with 5K resolution

New device GoPro Hero 9 was presented on the official website of the company without any announcements. The camera received a number of new features and became more technologically advanced.

Less than a year after the premiere of action cameras GoPro Max and GoPro Hero 8 Black American manufacturer of popular devices introduced a new model GoPro Hero 9, which has become more technologically advanced and perfect than its predecessor.
Distinguishing the new model is the easiest way to distinguish between the screens – the front instead of monochrome display appeared colored, and the diagonal of the main screen has increased. The resolution of the sensor has increased to 24 megapixels, which allows you to take 20 megapixels of photos and record 5K 30 fps, 4K 60 fps or 1080p 240 fps video, as well as the ability to change lenses.

For better image quality, HyperSmooth 3.0 electronic stabilization has been improved, and to make the GoPro work longer, the battery has been increased to 1720 mAh – according to the manufacturer, this has increased the camera’s operating time by a third. To make sure you don’t miss anything important, the camera records 30 seconds before you even press the record button. In addition, Hero 9 records 1.5 seconds before and after the photo, so you can select the best shot.
It is now possible to set a timer to start recording and determine the length of the resulting video, upon reaching which the GoPro will automatically stop recording. Additional accessories are still supported – you can connect an external microphone, additional light or screen, as well as install the camera on a tripod, because GoPro Hero 9 can also conduct live online broadcasts.
In the U.S., the novelty has already come on sale at a price starting from $499, which is $50 more than the GoPro Hero 8.
