A project to launch rockets into space using drones has been developed πŸ‘Œ

The goal of the project is to build a platform or drone with the right payload capacity and launch space rockets from a higher altitude. Or a whole flock of drones.

A powerful heavy octocopter can lift a rocket to a height of up to 5 km and accelerate with it up to 500 km/h. Such characteristics make it possible to create air-to-space rockets, which are much smaller than ground-to-space rockets and more economical.

The first stage of a launch can be almost completely eliminated, resulting in a cheaper, safer, and cleaner flight into space. So far, of course, tested only on a small scale.

Launching a rocket is very time-consuming, dangerous, and dirty for the environment. The idea is raw, and scientific research work is still being done.
